Love knows no bounds, and for Aaron and McKenzie, their whimsical woodsy wedding proved that fairy tales can come true even in the heart of Texas. On a chilly January day, the couple embarked on a magical journey to celebrate their love in a unique and enchanting way.
McKenzie had always dreamt of exchanging vows in a forest, fairytale wedding, but living in Texas meant that such a dream seemed nearly impossible. Nonetheless, she set out to find the next best thing, and the result was a wedding that blended the charm of winter with the warmth of Texan hospitality.
The venue, adorned with beautiful string lights, and a cozy atmosphere transported guests into a whimsical, woodsy wonderland.
To bring McKenzie’s fairytale vision to life, the couple incorporated rustic elements into their decor. Tables infused with jewel-toned florals, pinecones, candles, and moss transported guests to a Texas winter wonderland. From inspiration photos to reality, when we handed McKenzie her bouquet her words were “it’s so perfect.”
Though the weather proved to be a bit chilly after sunset, Aaron and McKenzie’s family and friends bundled up and kept the dance floor hot. With outdoor space heaters throughout the property, and string lights throughout the trees, the lighting brought a cozy winter-night atmosphere that was the cherry on top of a perfect day.

Congratulations on your engagement! Beyond the wedding itself, there are many other celebrations that surround you and your significant other. Weddings are like a marathon of events and excitement and it’s time to start considering and planning all of the fun festivities.
Just like the name suggests, this party is to celebrate your engagement. It is usually the first of many celebrations that honor the couple. Sometimes planned by your fiancé or a family member, this celebration can immediately follow the proposal or come 1 to 2 months after. Typically, close friends and family are invited and it is to officially announce your engagement.
The bridal shower is a gift giving party that honors and celebrates the bride. The bridal shower began when the father of a bride either didn’t have the money for her daughter’s dowry or didn’t approve of the marriage. Friends of the bride would gather and bring gifts to compensate for the dowery and allow her to marry the man of her choosing. Flat lays are also known as detail shots and that’s exactly what they do. They beautifully showcase the details of your wedding day. Photographers creatively arrange small and meaningful items such as your wedding rings, invitations and shoes to create unique and aesthetic photos.
Flat lays are like a mini mood board that captures your wedding vision. They set the tone for the rest of the photos you’re about to see. It’s a nice way to bring together your style and tell a story with small details from your big day.

The first kiss as newlyweds goes way beyond a schoolyard peck. It’s one of the most anticipated and important moments of your life. A picture-perfect moment to treasure forever. The first kiss is your declaration to the world that you’re finally married, and you want to make it good. Have you been practicing? Here are some tips to help you nail your first kiss.
It might seem silly practicing a kiss, but out of all the wedding prep, this might be the most fun! Decide if you want to do a dip, what you’re going to do with your hands, visualize standing in front of your friends and family, and give each other the best kiss of your life.
Ask them to step aside for the first kiss so the picture is just you two. This is something to mention to your officiant when you have your planning meeting and during rehearsal you can practice where they will move to. If they forget on the wedding day, have your best man or maid of honor give them a nudge!
Don’t be afraid to smile or laugh a little, but make sure to hold your kiss a little longer than normal so your photographer can get a good shot. For a sweet touch, add subtle little kisses after the main kiss.
When exiting, don’t forget to stop halfway and kiss again! Switch it up if you’re feeling risky and do a different kiss than you did at the altar.
