From the moment we started working with Shakodey and Michael as a full-planning couple, we knew their wedding was going to be something special. Over the course of a year, we helped bring their vision to life—not just through planning, but also by designing their florals and decor. One of our favorite elements was the candlelit reception tables, which created the dreamiest, most intimate glow throughout the night and their asymmetrical ceremony arrangements which framed them perfectly while not taking away from the stunning view. Another standout detail? Their sober-friendly drink option—a coffee cart that kept guests cozy and caffeinated all evening long!
The image of Michael tearing up as Shakodey walked down the aisle is a moment that will live rent-free in our heads forever. Their wedding day was blessed with the MOST gorgeous sunlight and created the dreamiest photos we will forever be obsessed with. This ceremony was short and sweet but didn’t stop the laughs and love shared between these two.
Oh, where do we even begin? Their photos turned out absolutely GORGEOUS—every single shot captured the love, joy, and emotion of the day. From intimate pre-ceremony moments to laughter-filled reception celebrations, their wedding gallery is something we’ll be swooning over for a long time. A big shoutout to our pal Lauren Crumpler Photography for this gem of a gallery. One of the most striking details? Shakodey’s bridal transformation! She changed her hairstyle between the ceremony and reception and added long bow sleeves to her dress, giving her an elegant yet fresh second look that was just stunning.
The reception was super cozy complete with so much candelight and a coffee cart even though it was still 80 degrees out (thanks Texas) but the guests absolutely adored it! The entire event was designed to reflect the couple, and every moment of the party reflected Shakodey and Michael’s love for each other and their guests.
